If you have read my blogs, you know that I am using iPage for my website hosting. I have been frustrated with them recently. Many days my own website does not load properly. Many times email sent from my domain is not received for hours and sometimes days. I understand they need to upgrade and everyone goes through technical difficulties.
What frustrates me is when I have a problem, they have to create a support ticket to do the research to get it fixed. There are many different common mistakes that the “tech” person should have answers to based on what the user says they have done. The worst happened when I was showing a potential client my website and it did not come up at all!
So I decided to look for other hosting options and start with the offers on my webpage. What initially sold me was cost, but now I desire better service. And how about a website creator that was easy, but allow me to enter html code along with unlimited number of pages. I was impressed with BlueHost
First off, they have a Demo of what your back office will look like once you are a customer. That was very impressive as it allowed me to compare and ask additional questions about their services.
What I was impressed about the most was their integrated Website Creators. I have used C4M, but was could not place advertisement in code on my website. i was also limited to only 9 pages or I would have to upgrade it, but still couldn’t use html code. I used Weebly Drag and Drop which does allow placement of html code, but limited me to only using 6 pages. I need more than 6 pages! On top of that, I can only use one for one website and the other for only one website. I have to figure something different for creating more websites.
With BlueHost, I can use Concrete5 for an unlimited number of pages and it is extremely easy to use. And it allows me to use input html code. And it allows me to use it for an unlimited number of websites. This is great!
Then I checked out the price. I found that BlueHost with $6.95/mo I would pay about the same as with iPage $3.95 because iPage charged more for privacy and many other upgrades if chosen. One year with everything cost $83 with BlueHost vs. $74 with iPage.
So the next step is transferring my Domains over to BlueHost. They have a video to show you how to do it. They have a video for almost everything as I spent time chatting with a representative to get more information.
I am happier now. I will be creating more website and prettier soon.
