Q: What is the furthest you have taken a rider?

A: From Orlando to Ft. Lauderdale. I picked up a guy and a woman near the University of Central Florida around noon on a Friday. They said they were going to the airport. When asked where are they flying to, the gentleman said that he was going to Boston and she was going all the way to Ft Lauderdale. That both had 8pm flights and they were done with their training early so wanted to get a earlier flight. I suggested I could drive her to Ft Lauderdale. She asked a price estimate and decided that she would do it.

After dropping her friend off at the airport, we stopped by a Wawa to fill the car up with gas, get something to eat and go to the bathroom before starting the trip. She was home by 4:30pm and was so happy not to deal with the airport she tipped me $48. Rather than fighting traffic to go back to Orlando, I decided to go to a Miami Marlins game for the first time. Parking was $20 and the ticket was $25 from a scalper. It was a great game and after I went to South Beach as an Uber driver for work.

Q: How was working in South Beach for Uber? Anything special?

A: The roads in South Beach are under construction and a little strange. I did quite a few rides, but there was one time when surge pricing went into effect. By the time I got there, it went away, but I immediately received a ride request from one guy. I waited outside for almost 10 minutes by the time they came to the car. The gentleman sat in the front seat and 4 cute Spanish girls got in the back seat. I told them I am only to take 4 people at the maximum so he needed to get out because he was wrecking my fantasy. I didn't really make anyone get out, but it was a fun ride to South Beach.
