I got one right with LeBron resigning with Cleveland, but it looks like the rest of my free
agent picks were wrong. The Cavs will not trade Wiggins for Kevin Love for many reasons. The main reason that makes all of the other reasons is that Kevin Love is a proven star in the NBA who puts up top ten numbers in multiple categories and has remained healthy for his young NBA career.
Because Kevin Love is a proven NBA talent, he drives a higher price than a rookie, even the top rookie like Andrew Wiggins. Minnesota would be a big winner since they would get rid of Kevin Love's contract, get the number one pick in the 2014 draft with Andrew Wiggins with a lower contract and get another player or multiple picks in upcoming drafts. Wiggins is an unproven rookie who has the right to play and prove that he was a worthy number one pick in the draft.
There have been number one picks in the draft, but there have been many number one picks that proved themselves like LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. Nothing would be worse to trade Andrew Wiggins and for him to be a superstar when the Cavs could have just waited a year and Kevin Love might have signed with the Cavs as a free agent without having to lose Wiggins or anybody else.
Minnesota will trade Kevin Love. It may happen before the season, but certainly will happen by the next season's trade deadline or Minnesota will be the biggest loser as they will get nothing in return as he will go elsewhere after the season is over.
