It is funny how now we live in the age HD TV, instant replay, YouTube and Gabby Union tweets
when we realize that the referees make bad calls. This has happened for years. I was so frustrated watching the Lakers 10 years ago getting fake foul calls when playing against the Spurs and the Celtics. It was so bad that it appeared the league needed one team to win over the other for ratings. Then it was discovered that an official was betting on games and he disappeared quickly.
The NBA referees always have had make up calls. Many times the refs make a late call based on a foul they missed and no matter what happens, someone is unhappy. I am glad the NBA is trying to go after players who flop to get fouls called.
I found it funny how close the Portland Trailblazers were to beating the Warriors in most of the series, but was curious if it would be as close if their illegal screens would have been called. Every time a screen was set, it looked like an NFL lineman with their hands and forearms extended to hit the Warriors' player. At the end, the best team still won as with almost every game played.
To solve the officiating problem, teams should be allowed to challenge foul calls also. This rule should be implemented in the NFL. The refs should call more technical fouls to clean up the game by making the players respect the referees more. Doc Rivers would get thrown out every game if they did that. lol
