Bluetooth Behind the Ear Headphone Review

 I had a some Jay Bird X2 headphones for a couple of years, but over time they were annoying how the inner ear piece kept coming out even after replacing it with a new one from the package. I sold them and wanted to get new Bluetooth headphones.

I have been watching the Beats Powerbeats 2 at Best Buy for some time. They were priced similar to the Jay Bird, but I guess I am getting older and cheaper so I was seeking more options. I found a couple of pairs from Academy Sports that looked good and similar.

The red Core Audio active were simple to set up. The control on the cord is a little bulky and not right. I was really hoping that they would sound good, but they were horrible. I would not recommend these even as a cheap set of Bluetooth headphones.

The Future Sport packaging looked very similar to the Powerbeats 2. They are waterproof and have a nice carrying case like the Beats also. The clips for over your ears were very soft and don't believe they will hold tight in the ear as the Beats. All controls are in the one ear piece as there is nothing on the cord between the two headphones. They didn't sound bad until your turned up the volume. The distortion was bad at high volume. If you don't hear the Beats, these would probably be fine.

The PowerBeats power button was a little difficult figuring it out at first because it is on the opposite side of the plugin to charge them. They have a nice adjustment clip to take up the slack when not using them and placing in the case.

The sound is excellent for the Powerbeats 2 even at higher volumes, however... Beats is not what they have. The bass is very minimal. I could see using these as everyday headphones beyond just listening to music as they don't feel like I have a collier around my neck like the LG and Samsung headphones. This pair is the only one of the 3 that I care to test further and maybe run. I am just afraid that they silence everything out around you.
