LeBron and the Lakers: What's Wrong in 2022

I write this blog after watching the Lakers blow and should be win against the Rockets again. LeBron James is playing awesome, Russell Westbrook has been average which is actually good enough but the coaching is failing them. I don't even blame it on Anthony Davis being injured. That is what he does.

The problem is not Anthony Davis being injured, it is the lack of defense of this team. Carmelo Anthony is playing decent however decent is not good enough. I would imagine he's holding us chest out saying that he blocked someone thinking that he played defense. Playing defense would be keeping your person from scoring at all costs. It is not leaving your person wide open for 3-pointers on 10 shots of the game.

Carmelo Anthony is not the only person on the Lakers that leaves people open. The other problem is when a player double change the person with the ball they just pass it to the open person who shoots and makes open three. This is happening every single game. I don't know how they won any games this season doing the same wrong defense every game!

When you do the same defense and expect a different result that is the complete definition of insanity, the NBA version. From the Lakers to break out of this insanity defense they need to change who's in charge. Frank Vogel has no say so on the team and should be fired immediately. The next player that double teams and leaves his men wide open should be suspended for one game. The next player that leaves someone open for three consecutive open three point shots should be suspended for one game. Something has to change. Every single game the Lakers look like they know how to play for one quarter, but the problem is every game is based on four quarters. This is one of the most disappointing seasons in Laker history!

Charles Barkley is completely wrong stayed in the Lakers are losing because they're old fogies. The Lakers are losing because they turn the ball over for more times than the opponent per half and they allow too many wide open shots. The Lakers could be fixed but it is too late this season. You can't go losing games to the worst team in the league and expect to go anywhere in the playoffs.

Melo, Marc Gasol or Kyrie to the Lakers?

Who would you take between Carmelo Anthony, Marc Gasol or Kyrie Irvin?

We don't need any of them. We need Lonzo Ball and LeBron James to come back healthy and we are going to run away from everyone for the next couple of years. Josh Hart, Kyle Kuzma, Zubac, Lonzo Ball,... the Lakers will be good as long as they can avoid the injury bug. Am I the only one that saw LeBron was going to be out the middle of the season to be rested for the play off run?

Where is LeBron Going? Other Free Agent Talk.

I heard this morning that LeBron's children were enrolled for school in Akron, Ohio. King James will be returned and loved again in Cleveland. The fools will be kicking themselves for burning his jersey 4 years ago. Expect the see Cleveland in the NBA Finals in 2015.

LeBron James opted out of his contract with the Miami Heat and then Dwayne
Wade and Chris Bosh opted out of their contracts also. The first indication was that Wade and Bosh were opting out so they can reduce their contracts and allow LeBron to get the maximum available on a new contract.
That proved to be all wrong as Bosh wants more money and a better fit. Wade is delerious to think that he is worth more money as he can't stay healthy for a full season. James and Wade appear to play well together, but their statistical numbers show another story. James has nothing to prove in Miami and now his home town Cavaliers are younger and have a stronger roster than when LeBron was there.
As for the others... Ray Allen will go to LA to play with Kobe and Carmelo Anthony. Pau Gasol will resign with the Lakers, then get traded in the 3 or 4 team deal that will bring Kevin Love to the LA Lakers. The Timberwolves will be fine in the next few years as they will load up with draft picks in the deal. Gasol will end up in Sacramento or with the Warriors.
You thought I was talking about the other 2 of the Heat's big three? They won't matter. Wade is loved in Miami and he will resign there and Bosh will shine again with the Houston Rockets despite losing fire power as they don't pay attention to Chandler Parsons. Chandler Parsons will sign with the Orlando Magic if given the opportunity. It would be completely dumb if the Magic don't take advantage of a home town boy wanting to come home to play. The Magic proved with Dwight Howard that they are reducing their player acquisition mistakes they made in the past letting Shaq ONeal go for nothing and signing a broken down Grant Hill.
BY THE WAY, I WROTE THIS 11PM ON THURSDAY.

Where is Carmelo Going? #NYKnicks #CarmeloAnthony #Changeforbetter

Carmelo Anthony has an option to get out of New York this summer and there is a lot of talk about him
playing with Kobe and the Lakers. Unfortunately, the Knicks have not got better since Anthony has joined the Knicks despite getting some quality players to play with over the past couple of years.

Amar'e Stoudemire Uncertain If Carmelo Anthony Will Stay with New York Knicks http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2060898-amare-stoudemire-uncertain-if-carmelo-anthony-will-stay-with-new-york-knicks

So Stoudemire doesn't know for sure if Carmelo will stay with the Knicks, but there are not that many
options that would fit his game and are near championship contention. The Bulls could use Carmelo's scoring capability, but he would not be a fit defensively. The Lakers need more defensive presence and Carmelo might not play well with Kobe. The Orlando Magic would love him as they have a bunch of young legs and are only missing a quality veteran scorer like Anthony.

I could go on and on about each team, but it really doesn't matter as the New York Knicks have made strives to be greatly better with Phil Jackson running the front office. Jackson will put the right coach in the right position to make a championship run. That includes building a roster around Carmelo and unfortunately Stoudemire is replaceable and will probably be dealt on draft day for a couple of draft picks. I wonder what Stoudemire would look like in a Lakers' jersey?
