There is Life on Another Planet!

Watching “Knowing” for the second time this past weekend, I was intrigued near the beginning of the movie when Nicholas Cage discusses how it is amazing that our planet Earth is the only planet in our solar system that is in the perfect distance from our sun that will support life. The Earth is the only planet with water in our solar system. We have known for some time that our solar system is not the only one in space.

There are many other stars in space and it is nieve to believe that there isn’t another Earth-life planet circling one of those stars. This Earth-like planet probably has water, oxygen and life much like our planet Earth. This planet may have dinosaurs or maybe it has aliens that we have heard stories about before. Maybe we have the most advance life in space. Maybe we are far behind another world’s technology.

I find it funny that I was thinking about this over the weekend and today I find this article on MSN Fifty new alien worlds revealed.

“European astronomers have announced the discovery of more than 50 new planets beyond our solar system, including 16 that are just a notch above our own planet in mass. They say their record-breaking findings suggest that more than half of the stars like our sun possess planets, and that many of those worlds are less massive than Saturn”.

Star Trek and Star Wars become more of a reality then fairy tails. All we need is the technology in space travel to make this possible. I truly believe that now that NASA has closed the space shuttle program, travel technology will be unleashed. I am not the only one who believes this as in the news this past month included a Dominoes on the Moon by 2016 and a resort in space where you can stay a week for just under $200k!
