I remember going to the movie theater with my wife to see the first Paranormal Activity and it was so weird. I was so impressed that it looked like a real life video of events. I was still wondering when I left if it were real. My wife refused to watch Paranormal Activity 2 when we received it from Netflix.
Therefore I watched Paranormal Activity 2 by myself. Maybe it was not dark enough in the bedroom when I watched it, but it was not scary. Maybe the element was removed wondering if it were real. What really was dumb was how predictable it was. It was not much different than the first one. It was so obvious when the girl walked outside the open front door that it was going to close on her with the baby inside unattended. It was so obvious that when it was so quiet in the kitchen that all of the cabinet doors were going to open at the same time. THE WHOLE MOVIE WAS TOO PREDICTABLE!
What is the point of watching Paranormal Activity 3? This should not have been a series of movies, but apparently the makers wanted to reap the profits of producing the same movie 3 times expecting people to waste their money watching it. I doubt that it will sell that many DVD's when it is released. The second one was so disappointing, I won't bother having Netflix send me this one.
