NFL Deflate-Gate: Nothing Revealed

On Saturday, January 24th, Bill Belicheck had another media conference to discuss the deflation of footballs for last weekends AFC Championship game between the Colts and the Patriots. This time he said that he is no science guy, but he knows that temperature affects air pressure. He continued to discuss the rubbing process which makes no sense because unless they have a high speed rubbing machine working constantly at a minimum of 45 miles an hour.

Then this morning Bill Nye the science guy records a video where is dismisses the rubbing theory.

Bill Nye lost credibility in my book as he completely omits discussing the change in air pressure due to temperature changes from a room temperature environment to the below freezing conditions present at the AFC championship game. Possibly Nye never played sports growing up or his memory alludes him of not remembering that cold athletic balls loose pressure as the temperature changes. This can be found with footballs, basketballs, soccer balls and even in the tires of bicycle and automobile. A true science guy could have done a more thorough investigation. Nye's true colors showed at the end of the video as he is rooting for the Seattle Seahawks.
