Olive Garden in East Orlando

I know many readers is wondering why am I writing about another Darden Restaurant because when you have been to one, you have been to them all. There were a couple of things that made this visit better than expected.

I was happy that they had 2 different variations of my favorite dish, Tour of Italy. My wife and I had been dying for some good Italian food for some time.

We started off with their Lasagna Fritta as the appetizer (pictured). While we were waiting for it, our waitress provided us with different wine samples. The appetizer came out quickly with the salad that I always love. I remember when I went to Olive Garden for the first time when I was 19 and thought that the salad needed some ranch dressing. lol

I had the Southern Tour of Italy (picture) which included spicy pesto shrimp, mezzaluna marinara and bucatini with spicy tomato bacon sauce. The shrimp were just that spicy that you would prefer to eat them with other pieces on the dish to keep your mouth from burning up.

My wife had the Northern Tour of Italy which included asiago tortelloni, chicken lombardy and fettuccine with creamy parmesan portobello sauce. We typically share a couple of bites with each other and I would say her chicken was cooked perfectly as were the noodles.

What made this visit extra special was the excellent service we had from our waitress. I expect great service when ever I go to a restaurant, but unfortunately restaurants in East Orlando are notorious for giving horrible service. For example, the Chili's restaurant across the street from this Olive Garden has messed up my order the last 2 times going there.

This Olive Garden gets 5 stars from me.
