I check multiple times a day hoping to see news for updating my Samsung Droid Charge to Gingerbread. This last update looked promising with less bugs than prior leaked updates.
With every update you see the words "Official" and later find out it is only official for that website producing the leaked update. I decided to try this latest version in hopes of being able to use Google Talk for video chat on the phone.
What a disappointment! It didn't work. Not only that, the update roots your phone and therefore would prevent you from getting the OTA update.
I immediately reinstalled the factory ROM. I will be more patient and wait for the automatic update. It should be soon.
