PlayStation Vue is by far my favorite online streaming television service. I have tried YouTube TV and Sling TV in the past, but I have not found any reason to switch away from PlayStation Vue. With that said, PlayStation Vue is not perfect and I hope someone is reading this from Sony and we'll make it better moving forward very soon.
The coolest thing about recording sports with PlayStation Vue is you don't have to record individual games or only games with your favorite team. There is no limit on your DVR, and it record every game in the category that is available in your TV lineup. So if your favorite team is the Magic and the Thunder happen to be playing the the Nuggets which sounded interesting to you after the game was played oh, you are still able to see it on your DVR. The only task left is finding it on your DVR.
If you own a Roku TV and are a sports fan, PlayStation Vue is extremely frustrating when watching past events on your DVR. When wanting to watch a sports program from your DVR on Android TV, you can sort them by date unlike Roku TV. This is the way PlayStation Vue app should be fixed on Roku TV to mimic how it works on Android TV. The bigger problem is you can not see games recorded within the last 2 weeks at all on the list. This is illustrated by my first 4 pictures with BLUE LABELS TO THE RIGHT and my video below has everything.
Also in my video below I have the next issue. Almost the opposite is true when it comes to watching your favorite shows from your DVR. When selecting your recorded show on Roku, it brings up the most recent recording first and to the right are the older episodes. On Android TV, the PlayStation Vue app will show the oldest recording once you've selected your show and you have to move it all the way to the right to find the most recent recording one to the left of the next scheduled recording which is the very last one on the right. There is no way to select by date above the list of recordings like the games recorded on the Android TV PlayStation Vue app. My pictures illustrating this have RED LABELS BELOW along with my video below.
So these are my two technical gripes with PlayStation Vue that is holding it back from being the best streaming television service ever. I would like to add all platforms on that, but you can't watch it through an Xbox without going through the browser which is very funky and not as clear as through the app. I also made a video on how to watch PlayStation Vue on the Xbox One and posted it on my YouTube channel.
